The Beginning:
The 'Begin Again' idea was conceived over a cup of coffee in a minimal two bedroom apartment in Ahmedabad around the hot summers of May-June 2018.
We sensed there is a disconnect between the consumers and the developers in the real estate industry & we decided to solve the problem at the grass-root level. The idea was to launch an innovative set-up, creating a win-win for the future market place. A company so well-rooted in the ethos of sincerity, integrity, productivity and performance that we eliminate mediocrity completely and serve the market by delivering the best & the peerless services.
The industry was served just the norm. We wanted to do something more than that, we wanted to take things to another level, more professional and productive so as to make an impact in the real estate scenario starting from the city of Ahmedabad.
An Idea was Born:
Both of our founders bring their own expertise, Finance & Marketing major.
The goal was to revolutionise the sales and marketing functions for real estate brands. Soon, after deciding on the aim, the brainstorming began with one central question - ‘How to do it?’ and then came 'Begin Again' as an answer to the intriguing question.
We realised the real gap in the customer expectations and the project deliverables lies in the research and analysis of the consumer sentiments. In 2018, very few were interested in speaking to the end user and understanding what they actually want? The market did not follow-up diligently on the business leads but we knew where the gold is & the thumb rule needs us to communicate right.
We started 'Begin Again' as a lead management company, flexible enough to be moulded into a multidisciplinary organisation. It was just the right mix for the seed to start germinating. We never said 'no’ to our clients’s requirements and that’s how we learned & ventured into different domains. Luckily, we were fast enough to adapt ourselves to meet their expectations.
Soon after working for several real estate brands as their lead management partner, we realised that there are other areas as well wherein we can make profound difference, one such area was training for the sales & marketing team. We soon plunged into it and have trained a lot of sales teams since then. That is why we are not just a lead management company anymore but a full-fledged technology driven marketing and sales enhancement company.
History in the Making:
Having spent the last few years studying & exploring the real estate scenario we started sensing the market sentiments & we launched 'Begin Again' with full grit and instinct.
In the beginning it was a question of ‘How to do it?’
The question soon developed into ‘How can we do it better?’
Which then eventually became
‘How to scale it to newer geographies & diverse sectors?'
We simply couldn’t resist to scale 'Begin Again' to a company that’s admired globally. Keeping that in mind, we started offering services to developers outside our base city. Surprisingly our work got admiration from international clients as well & we left no stone unturned to surpass their expectations.
We truly believe that if one puts enough work in his/her area of interest, then one can move mountains and make history.
For us, 'Begin Again' is that history in the making.
Come what may, I know the way
Akanksha completed her double master’s degree specialising in Finance & Accounts, and thus, the success for her lies in the numbers and on the charts.
Prior to 'Begin Again', she was serving Vakrangee, a Mumbai-based organisation, handling their working capital requirements & investor relations.
Mumbai has its own lessons & she owe a lot to the city for it taught her discipline & perseverance & she brings the same to 'Begin Again' & its team.
The city of dreams is where she learnt how to dream!
As on day, her focus is into the service & product positioning area where the strength is to develop an eye for insights & patterns in the Real Estate Industry. In her words, the only trick is to work as much as you can, noticing each of the minute details that come through the way.
She knows there’s no magic in magic, it’s all in the details.
With her base in Ahmedabad, her real estate exposure started at Swagat Group, where her role knew no boundaries, and thus, she got a 360-degree hand-on-experience in almost all the divisions. Curious at the start, Swagat turned to be a starting point where she learned the ABCs of real estate sector along with the work ethics & she is thankful till date to all the organisations she has worked with as they all contributed in her learning cycle.
Just like footprints in the sand, each step signifies the journey taken.
Begin Again’s strong ethics & culture makes her strike back, no matter what the market direction is.
She, at 'Begin Again', feel honoured to lead a mostly-women organisation and its vigour comes from the patience & dedication grasped firmly in each member of the team at 'Begin Again'.
At 'Begin Again', it's not just standing for the success of others, it's insisting on it.
She prefers minimalism and linen. Together with her husband, the couple shares the same passion for real estate, they cycle around on weekends, they have their own strong heads analysing the situations from all the possible angles and they love discussing new start-up ideas & sometimes fighting over the best possible solution.
Well, she loves exploring small towns & cultures, getting into random conversations, trying new things & wishes to learn pottery in Himachal someday!
She believes if you can dance & be free & not be embarrassed, you can rule the world & that’s what exactly she and her team lives by.
Mountains can be moved, all you need is a little 'push'
Himanshu is a serial entrepreneur and the co-founder of 'Begin Again', dedicated to power of enthusiastic young generation trying to change the marketing & sales world. Prior to 'Begin Again', Himanshu had endeavoured running a quick service food joint, and a travel company but couldn't succeed.
Failure is an opportunity to Begin Again.
Himanshu, accidentally landed into the world of Real Estate advertising with Magicbricks.com (A Times of India Group Company) wherein he learned the do’s and don’ts of real estate advertising in the digital space.
He loves hard work & that’s how he never has a bad day at work.
Having worked for Magicbricks for more than 5 years in the residential and commercial real estate digital advertising space, Himanshu had the eye for the market details. He could clearly see the gap in the consumer expectations and the some of the developers sales teams sloppy response to that in the real estate scenario in Ahmedabad. He had the ideas, but an idea not coupled with action will never get any bigger than the brain cell it occupied. It was the time to act.
Anything worth doing is worth doing badly.
He sensed an opportunity and soon started working to weave a way for advertising needs and lead management needs for real estate developers with Akanksha, during their courtship.
It was thought, not money, the business capital.
After a series of conversations and a lots of email exchanges between the two, they curated the initial plan together. However, Akanksha was in Mumbai and Himanshu was in Ahmedabad, & they had to wait for another few years before they get married to begin with their business plan.
Meanwhile, Himanshu grabbed another opportunity in an American MNC – CBRE, and started managing transactions for Industrial Real Estate requirements from top multinational companies. He worked with CBRE for 3+ years alongside supporting Akanksha & 'Begin Again'.
As said, the dream is free & the hustle is sold separately & he bought both.
After working for years with CBRE, Himanshu finally took the plunge this year (2021) and joined 'Begin Again' as a full time Director.
Apart from Begin Again, Himanshu loves to go for bicycle rides with Akanksha & enjoys morning walks and wishes to build a home at a hill top someday!
He knows a little hope in life makes life a lot better.
